The Wangaratta 4x4 Club is a family-friendly, volunteer-run club for four-wheel drive enthusiasts across northeast Victoria. We run regular day trips, weekend adventures, and extended expeditions into some of the most spectacular country in the state — from the Alpine High Country to the Murray River flats.
Whether you're brand new to 4WDing or a seasoned track veteran, there's always room in our convoy for another vehicle and a friendly face. We welcome all makes and models — stock family wagons to fully modified rigs.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00pm at the Northeast Car Club Rooms, Tarrawingee. New faces are always welcome — come along before committing to membership!

Exploring Northeast Victoria
Northeast Victoria offers some of Australia's most diverse and rewarding four-wheel drive country. From the rugged peaks and snowfields of the Victorian Alps to the ancient river red gum forests along the Murray, there is no shortage of spectacular terrain right on our doorstep.
Our club regularly ventures into the Alpine National Park, the Strathbogie Ranges, the King and Ovens River valleys, and the Murray River region — as well as further afield to destinations like the Snowy Mountains, Flinders Ranges, and beyond on our annual extended trips.
As a club affiliated with 4WD Victoria, we are committed to responsible off-road driving — respecting the land, following all track and park regulations, and leaving every destination in better condition than we found it.
Club Values
Everything we do as a club is guided by a few simple principles.
We look after each other on the track and off it. No one gets left behind — whether your rig is bogged, broken, or just needs a tow.
We drive responsibly, stick to designated tracks, pack out all rubbish, and work to protect the natural environments we enjoy.
Our club is genuinely family-friendly. Kids grow up with a love of the outdoors — and eventually become the next generation of drivers.
We run regular skills nights and recovery training so every member can drive with confidence and handle challenging situations safely.
We're proud to be part of the Wangaratta community. We support local businesses, participate in community events, and promote our beautiful region.
Every trip is planned with safety in mind. Trip leaders are experienced, vehicles are checked, and we always have a plan for when things don't go to plan.
