Do I need a modified 4WD to join? +
Not at all! Many of our trips are suitable for standard, unmodified 4WD vehicles. Some harder trips may recommend or require certain modifications — this is always noted in the trip details. We cater for all levels.
Can I come to a meeting before joining? +
Absolutely — in fact, we encourage it! Come along to any club night (second Tuesday, 8pm at the Northeast Car Club Rooms, Tarrawingee) as a guest to meet the crew and see if we're the right fit. No obligation.
Is the club suitable for families with children? +
Yes! We're a family-friendly club and run regular easy trips that are great for kids. Family membership covers your partner and dependent children, and families are welcome on all appropriate trips.
How much does membership cost? +
Annual membership is $100 and covers a single person or the whole family. It renews each May. Pro-rata pricing may apply for those joining mid-year — ask us for details.
Are there any costs for trips beyond membership? +
Day trips are generally free or have minimal costs (fuel, shared lunch). Weekend and extended trips may have camping fees or other costs which are shared among participants. All costs are communicated well in advance.
